Requirements

  1. The school considers the following as essential to admission:
    1. Adequacy in the English language
    2. A basic level of educational aptitudes and skills as determined by interview, examination, and educational records
  2. For entrance into Kindergarten, students must demonstrate readiness and reach the age of five by September 30 of the year they wish to enter. Regardless of age, a child may be refused admittance if evaluated as not ready.
  3. For entrance into grade 1, students must meet one of the following requirements:
    1. Become six years of age by September 30 of the enrollment year and have been promoted from kindergarten in the school.
    2. Become six years of age by September 30 of the enrollment year, have passed a test given by the school, and have received approval from the principal.
  4. For entrance into grade 7 and above, students must demonstrate English fluency determined by a school administered exam.
  5. Before initial entrance into the school, parents are requested to present proof of the child's age and a recent physical examination report. Proof may be in the form of a birth certificate, passport, school records, or other appropriate official government document.
  6. The applicants must use an official school health form and have it filled in using English. The English information enables us to make use of the form in case of an emergency. All new students must complete a physical. For returning students, only those entering grades 3, 6, and 9 must complete a physical.
  7. The school currently does not admit children who are citizens of the People's Republic of China, per Chinese law.
